I would say that Greek yogurt and bananas are my HG foods, as well as olive oil and red wine in moderation. I would eat more salad but I'm really just a meat-eater at heart, and if not meat, protein rich foods like beans and nuts. I love ordering cheeseburgers sans the buns. However I do allow myself to eat cheese, meat, even chocolate. Cleaning out the blender is a bitch though. Quick, delicious, tons of potassium, calcium, protein with little to no added sugars really. I also have a recipe for a smoothie I can't live without, I usually eat it for breakfast: 2 bananas, a cup of 0% fat Greek Yogurt, 2 eggs, and either 2 crushed vitamin C pills or orange juice. I tend to go towards a low-carb approach and have been replacing meals and snacks with large quantities of herbals teas mixed with milk and honey.

If you try taking out of your diet and your skin clears up then you know that they aren't for you I didn't follow any lifestyle, I just tried to be healthier, as simple as that! All I meant to say was that you may be allergic or intolerant to one of those, and not know it. it took me years to change my eating habits and become more aware of what I put in my body. I lost a lot of kilos and now I'm more comfortable in my body. I stopped drinking gallons of soda, I replaced that with water/tea/fruit juices, I started eating more fruits and vegetables, I tried to reduce eating fried stuff and instead eat natural and non processed food. But since I was 18-19 I changed my whole vision of life starting by my eating habits. I didn't follow any lifestyle, I just tried to be healthier, as simple as that!Īs for me, I used to eat anything and everything when I was a teenager, I was fat, had skin issues, was feeling weak all the time.

For a normal person who has acne, eating gluten and dairy free is not the solution because they are not the problem.Īs for me, I used to eat anything and everything when I was a teenager, I was fat, had skin issues, was feeling weak all the time.

Once you stopped eating them your skin became clear.

Your skin used to have a lot of issues because you are allergic to these two ingredients. I would advise anyone with acne to try going gluten or dairy free for at least a week, it may definitely make a big difference in your skin Once I took both out of my diet my skin is totally clear. I used to have the skin on my hands and feet peel as well and stomachaches. (Once you try almond milk, you'll never go back to regular milk.so good OMG).īack when I used to eat gluten and dairy products, my skin was terrible-horrible, flaming, red breakouts.

These days it is really easy to find gluten free breads and dairy free ice creams in stores. I never crave cheese or pizza anymore (even though most pizza places now have gluten free options). I eat mostly just "real" food I guess- veggies, fruits, meats, fish, and rice and beans and things like that. It's not as hard as most people would think it is.
